This website is for teachers and students from around the world who are interested in diffrent cultures, languages and in what is going on in other schools to create safe and inclusive learning environments. Introducing the Model Citizen Project

Social Education Victoria has a great new on-line project and contains teaching and learning Civics and Citizesnhip Education resources. These are arranged into four areas: Global Citizen, Australian Citizen, Digital Citizen and Active Citizen

Materials for each topic include an engaging visual poster, student activitiesand links to other useful resources. All areas contain web 2.0 elements that allow students the opportu nity to create, communicate and share their learning.

Global Education


Visit 'Activities, lessons and strategies' page - A feature link is the Global Education website. It has a fantastic range of resources for teaching about global issues. There are lesson plans, learning standards, projects and links.

To join the site
Please create a generic username for your class/ school. Individual students are not allowed to join the site and names or images of individual students should not be used.

We'll set up a page for your class/school and you can then add pictures, stories and messages about your school. You may only add and delete material on your own page. Remember the site only works as well as you are prepared to use it.


Upload a photograph of your school or activities and events. You will need permission to upload any photo of a student to the web. Please don't include student names. Discuss that all work posted to the site can be viewed by a wide audience.

Postcards

Greetings from us to the world

Create a picture postcard sending greetings from your country, town or city. Use photographs, art or computer generated graphics.What are the most important messages?
Place your postcard on another school's page.
National Anthem or song

Put the words to your national anthem or well known national song on your school page. Add a Youtube clip if you can or a video of students performing the anthem.

Students involved in Ethics, Aesthetics and Citizenship Program at Liceo De Motavia High School in Costa Rica. Students are involved in a range of activities designed to contribute to social harmony and peace. Here we see students in the first photograph explaining the voting system for a mock election. Costa Rica has no army and understanding the voting system of a constitutional democracy is very important. CGPS the 5/6's are learning about being a fantastic and wonderful writers we had seen and experienced as writers before .you may know the writer Tim Burton is in melbournehis movies and drawing has experienced me to be a writer myself .

right now in 5/6T we are learning about shapes in maths like N-gon witch is a 1 sided shape.
we are also learning about visualisation in reading.
